Finally a doctor show I am really going to enjoy! This isn’t your typical doctor drama with resident sleeping with doctors in the medicine room. This is a fast paced thriller where the doctor becomes two people! As the first episode points out, watch who operates on you! It is like a modern day Jekll and Hyde, I think it holds some awesome potential. I like the poster too, Do No Harm – should be called Dr. Hand-some.

Here is the synopsis of the first episode:

Renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Jason Cole (Steven Pasquale) has it all – including a dark secret. Every night at 8:25pm, Jason’s body is overtaken by a dangerous alternate personality who goes by the name “Ian Price” (also Steven Pasquale). For years, Jason has been able to restrain Ian with the help of an intense pharmaceutical cocktail – that is, until today. Now Ian is free and hell-bent on seeking revenge, which could jeopardize Jason’s life, career, and budding romance with Dr. Lena Solis (Alana De La Garza).

If something about this show seems familiar it is probably because NBC had a similar show (that was cancelled) staring Christan Slater called My Own Wost Enemy. I could hardly watch that show though…

While watching the first episode I saw a lot of familiar faces.

Phylicia Rashad is Dr. Vanessa Young.
Remember The Cosby Show?

Samm Levine is Josh Stern.

I loved Freaks and Geeks!

Ruta Gedmintas is Olivia Flynn.

I first saw her in the UK lesbian drama “Lip Service” and more recently in my new obsession The Borgias! You may recall her chopping off her hair (again) and playing a nun!

The only actor I have not really seen before is the lead himself!

Steven Pasquale is Dr. Jason Cole/Ian Price.

He is so engaging and does a fantastic job at playing two completely opposite characters. He is such a nice guy as Jason and then turns into the sex maniac dark and intense Ian. Is it wrong that I like Ian?

Check it out for yourself! The new NBC show Do No Harm is currently streaming on nbc and itunes a week before air. Watch it here now and your alter ego can watch it tonight! Will you be on team Jason or team Ian?
